About Fitrah Foundation

The ‘Fitrah’ is the natural position and innate nature of human beings. We were all created with one natural disposition to recognize Allah, our Creator, and His sole right to be worshiped, as well as to distinguish between truth and falsehood, and right and wrong, in all aspects of life.

Allah says:

فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًا ۚ فِطْرَتَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا
“So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the Fitrah of Allah upon which He has created all people.” [Al-Rum 30:30]

So Allah sent Islam as the religion of the Fitrah. The Prophet (saw) said, “Every child is born in a state of Fitrah. His parents then make him a Jew, a Christian or a Magian.” [Reported by Muslim]

The Fitrah of many people today has become derailed and needs to be brought back on track. There is a layer of fog covering the Fitrah obscuring the truth for most people. It translates into their beliefs and actions. Never has mankind been so distant from the Fitrah than today in all aspects – from beliefs to morals and ethics.

It is from here that the idea of Fitrah Foundation came into being. The need of the hour is to bring people – including Muslims – back to the Fitrah that Allah created them upon. Some people are not affected by the rulings of Allah because their Fitrah has been changed, while the laws of Allah can only be understood by a rectified Fitrah, like rainfall for the earth; if it was changed, it wouldn’t produce anything. People today are in need of awakening the Fitrah that Allah created them upon in order to understand the laws of Allah.
